Collection: Viviane Hasler

Swiss soprano Viviane Hasler works as a freelancer. She is particularly interested in scenic work and contemporary classical music.

Viviane Hasler performs as a soloist in new music with the Ensemble für Neue Musik Zürich and the Broken Frames Syndicate, among others, as well as in various chamber music formations. She has performed at the Lucerne Festival (CH), the Waves Up North Festival (DK) and the Impuls Festival (Ö), among others. Her duo with trombonist Antonio Jimenez-Marin has been invited to the Ultima Festival in Oslo in 2024 (premiere of Lene Grenager). In contemporary music theater, Viviane Hasler has performed in "Der eingebildete Kranke" after Molière (world premiere, 2023) and "Neues vom Weltuntergang" (world premiere, 2021) by Johannes Marks, "Odyssee" by Jochen Neurath (world premiere, 2022) and in the chamber opera "Apartment" by Edward Rushton (world premiere, 2017). She has also realized numerous productions of her own with the Ensemble Lunaire and the NEON Ensemble under her artistic direction.  She has sung world premieres by Samuel Langmeier, Anda Kryeziu, Rafael Baier, Victor Alexandru Coltea, Grzegorz Mackiewicz, Rakhat-Bi Abdyssagin, Léo Collin, Edward Rushton, Johannes Marks, Helga Arias, Daniel Fueter, Jochen Neurath, Beat Gysin, Veit Erdmann-Abele and Yang Jing. Viviane Hasler regularly performs with the vocal ensemble Basler Madrigalisten, including as a soloist in 2019 for Lachenmann's "Mädchen mit den Schwefelhölzern" at Zurich Opera House and in 2022 for Glass' "Einstein on the beach" at Theater Basel, the Wiener Festwochen, the Berliner Festspiele and the Festival d'Automne in Paris (2023).

As a duo with pianist Maren Gamper, she has developed an extensive song repertoire with a focus on French song literature. The duo has been honored as a Pro Argovia Artist and performs regularly at concerts and festivals, mostly in France and Switzerland. In May 2024, the duo's first CD will be released on Carpe Diem Records, with songs by Debussy, Chaminade, Chausson, Hahn and Wolfgang Rihm.

In spring 2024, Viviane Hasler will perform with pianist Benjamin Engeli at the opening of the FemaleClassics Festival and will be heard in the staged performance "Nichts Schöneres" with the Ensemble für Neue Musik Zürich.
