In this solo archlute recital, the Italian lutenist Rosario Conte plays works by Alessandro Piccinini and his son, Leonardo Maria Piccinini, in a most virtuosic and emotional interpretation. This recording offers an excitingly fresh view on Italian 17th Century repertoire (the pieces of this CD were published in 1623 and 1639).
