Second solo album of Maximilian Ehrhardt

The second solo album of German harpist Maximilian Ehrhardt on Carpe Diem Records is finally out and available online and in stores around the world.

"Diminutions" is a unique concept album that combines 6 original compositions of the 17th Century with 6 newly composed pieces written specifically for the artist and his instrument.

Maximilian Ehrhardt writes in his booklet text:
"Just as the virtuosos of the early 17th century used pre-existing compositions to showcase their artistic and technical skill, contemporary composers draw on the same principles in Diminutions. They present new variations in the most diverse styles of the early 21st century and thus bring the tradition of diminution into the present."
