Today, on Oct. 2nd, 2026, we're releasing a solo piano album by Swiss/French classical pianist and theater artist Maren Gamper. For this album, she created 12 improvisations based on a poetic text by Swiss writer Annemarie Schwarzenbach, who died in 1942. The topic is emotion, awareness and personal processing of inner and outer pain - be that personal history, the state of the world, the heaviness of existence - all of it flows together in Maren Gamper's playing, creating an intense yet beautiful, transcendent and eventually uplifting musical experience.
Take your time to listen to this album - this is not musical fast food. It requires time and space, asks openess and honesty from ist listeners, but then rewards them with the most Precious gift that music has to offer: a glimpse into the ethereal and timeless spiritual foundations of our human existence.
