Anne Hytta, born in 1974 in sauland in southeast norway and currently living in oslo, learned traditional Hardanger fiddle playing from the masters Einar Løndal (1914 – 2006) and Knut Buen (*1948) from Tuddal in Telemark. she also composes and performs in different folk chamber music settings such as the trio slagr and the international quartet of sympathetic- string instruments Tokso. With the ensemble padik she performs Baluchi folk music, and she plays medieval string instruments such as the vielle and rebec with the ensemble Kalenda Maya. Draumsyn is her début as a composer of solo music for her instrument.
